made with Apophysis – I wish I had as much to say about this one as I did about the bench. All I can say is that I saw the table and as I worked on it, then the top started filling in. These kinds of pieces are so much fun to make. Let me tell you, it can take hours though just on one piece. Usually for me the time consuming part is the actual making of the design of the fratal. The rendering never takes very long. Perhaps that is because my computer is only a couple of years old? Sometimes in making these though I do have to shut down Internet Explorer – it is a real memory hog. It’s that servicehost thingy. I don’t know if it’s advertisements or what but all of a sudden it’s like IE spikes in memory usage and then won’t let it go. Ok, I just seem to be in a mood for yacking tonight.
But anyway… I’ve never had a render that took longer than 10 minutes. But the really fun part of making these complex fantasy fractals is seeing the different shapes and figures come and go, seeing which ones you can keep in the design. I’ve seen wizards and horses, aliens, wolves, chalices and sceptors, swords. And, no, I’m not on any mind altering substances! LOL
