Here is the white iPhone 3G: the white is nice, but well, it is not a revolutionary design regarding the v1
Bad Apple experience today
I was there initially for my iMac Intel Core 2 Duo (mid 2006): when it boots, the screen is black (well, even if sometimes it works). It is unpredictable, but I think it either comes from the HD or screen.
The Apple Staff was really not nice: and especially the ones at the door of the Apple Store for the iPhone 3G event. Firstly, two Apple girls told me that "sorry, you have to come back tomorrow, it is the iPhone 3G special event today"…. Come on!!!
I brought my iMac with me (not as light as a Macbook…), that does not work after less than 2 years, and I am ready to pay between 0 and 0 to fix it: but no, "sorry Sir, today is the iPhone event, please come back tomorrow with an appointment… here is the business card of the store" –> trash can directly.
I was so upset that I asked for her manager: he came and solved my problem in less than 5 minutes by finding me a "genius" to help me.
The genius was really nice, and I let my iMac for investigation (the investigation is free, good!).
I knew one of the two "bad" Apple girls: 2 or 3 months ago, she had a look behind the screen of a Macbook to find the mini-DVI plug after a question about the adapter I had. Sorry, there is no plug behind the screen on a Macbook… bravo!
I was laughing that day, not today.
So please, Apple, try to hire skilled and nice staff. I know you have a huge success and you have to hire a lot of guys, but please train them before.
And when a customer has a problem with a Mac, don’t tell him to come back later when the store is opened (and not overcrowded) like today – even if there is a so-called iPhone event… He is already not very happy to have a problem with his Mac, so don’t push the envelope…
* My 2 cents for a better Apple experience. *
